Drinking with Søren
Tonight some friends and soon-to-be-friends got together at Wealthy (the new Giddy para mi) to kick off a bi-monthly Drinking with Søren gathering. The plan is to read and discuss Kierkegaard while ... you guessed it, drinking. First up: Works of Love. We got off on a jovial foot, probably not properly melancholy enough for Søren actually. But the spirit was much more in keeping with the fact that today is the birthday of my favorite Kierkegaard scholar. Cheers Jennifer!

Sounds wonderful. I wish I could sit in on this one. Now, whether my attraction is for the book or the drinking, the world may never know!
a great book to read. i'll be curious to know what you think about it. It might help to read Jamie Ferreira's book about Works of Love if you have any difficulties!
