The Last Weekend of the Leaves

My favorite tree on the nearby Prairie Path trail was a brilliant red peacock last Monday and by Friday it was naked, it's chocolate brown trunk entirely exposed. Knowing that this was probably the last weekend to experience the full glory of fall, Laura, Morgan, Micah, and I walked around Matthesion State Park near my parent's house on Saturday.
